The Somers Point School District believes that a structured, systematic, comprehensive and conceptual framework of music education is at the core of teaching and learning experiences. Every child should have a sustained education in music. The study of music teaches mental discipline and creative problem solving. It instills attentiveness, greater cooperation, personal reflection, and curiosity. These qualities come about through a lifelong affiliation with the study of music.
