SOMERS POINT BOARD OF EDUCATION PUBLIC NOTICE
The Somers Point Board of Education, in Atlantic County, provides public access to all required legal notices on its official website. Current legal notices may be viewed free of charge at https://www.sptsd.org/departments/business-office/legal-notices Archived legal notices are also available on the website.

Superintendent of Schools - Employment Contract
NOTICE is hereby given that during the Somers Point Board of Education meeting scheduled on August 20, 2026 at 6:00pm, located in the Jordan Road School, 129 Jordan Road, Somers Point, NJ 08244 the Board will hold a public hearing on and act upon the employment contract for the Superintendent of Schools. This notice is being provided in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:11 -1 1 which the Board must provide thirty {30) days notice for action upon and ten {10) days notice for a public hearing on the renegotiation, extension, amendment, or alteration of an employment contract with the Superintendent of Schools. All members of the public are invited to attend this meeting and make public comments during the Public Hearing.
The Board does not publicly discuss personnel matters and shall not respond to comments made by members of the public, except as allowed by law. However, the Board will give all comments appropriate consideration. Please be aware that the subjects of this hearing retain the right of privacy and shall retain all rights regarding defamation and slander according to the laws of New Jersey. The Board shall not be held liable for comments made by members of the public. A copy of the contract is on file and available for review by the public at the Office of the Board Secretary located in the District Administration office, 129 Jordan Road, Somers Point, NJ 08244 by appointment.
